Over the past 23 years, I have been traveling all over the world to learn different dreadlock techniques and with time I have developed “Seienstyle’s technique of doing dreadlocks”.

I'm not only a dreadlock expert, I also have the business side from years of studying marketing, branding and personal development and I know what you have to do in order to get your business to succeed and to thrive as a loctician!
When I started learning about the art of making dreadlocks back in 1996 I had no idea of where or who to turn to, I had a friend that wanted dreadlocks and we tried to figure out how they were made.
I was the only one that was even close to be interested in figuring out how you could make dreadlocks.
The funny part is that we even went to the library to check in books to learn how to make dreadlocks and yes, this is pre-internet…. I hardly remember how hard it was in those days to find information of things that was alternative.
Yes I did my friends hair and Yes it was horrible… hahahha I wish I had a photo to show you 😃
Many years later I was in contact with Sonia Petersen, from Hairpolice, which was my big role model when it came to making dreads, she did Boy George's hair back in the day.
She took a chance on me in 2000 and offered a course to me, after many emails back and forth she saw the big interest I had and the passion of creating art with hair.
From the first day of getting on a plane to London and taking the course with Sonia, my whole life shifted in a huge way!
I came home with new knowledge and a shift in energy and a willingness to help people create their hair dreams.
To this day I feel forever grateful that Soina took a chance on me and that she was willing to give her knowledge to me! Sadly I only got to to see Soina three times before she passed away in 2004.
The main thing that I learnt from Sonia was that if you are open to learn a new skill and if you are willing to work hard then anything and everything is possible!
The art of making dreadlocks has been a gift to me in my life, I wake up everyday with a smile on my face looking forward to “Who do I get to help today?" and I go to bed with the satisfaction that I did a huge impact on a persons life today.
For me it is an honor to help people on a daily basis!
